Voodoo Lily, native to Southeast Asia, is known for its large, striking flower with a strong odor resembling rotting meat. It features a single, umbrella-like leaf on a tall, mottled stem. The plant produces a tuber used in Japanese cuisine. It is notable for its unique flower and culinary tuber. It goes dormant in winter (top growth all dies back but the underground bulb remains alive and the plant will grow back in spring with warmer temperatures and longer daylight hours). Other names it goes by are konjaku, konnyaku potato, devil's tongue, voodoo lily, snake palm, or elephant yam.
