What determines whether I get a 3-, 6-, or even 18-inch-tall plant?

The exact size of the plant we send you is variable on the time of year and how long we've been growing it out.

Alive and optimistic

My plants arrived quickly and without drying out. The LSU Gold arrived with several healthy leaves, whereas the LSU Purple arrived with just 1 and several visible nodes showing signs of growth. After a few days acclimating indoors under a grow light, I up-potted both. The LSU Gold I judged to be good enough to stay outside with minimal intervention. The LSU Purple was slow-growing so I brought back indoors and is now showing signs of accelerating growth. From this point, it's gonna be a skill and luck issue.

The SMALLEST fig tree I ever did see...

but, it's alive and doing very well! would much rather buy one of these mini fig trees and watch it grow than go thru the whole process of trying to get a fig stick turn into a tree.
