The LSU Purple produces a yield of sweet, medium-sized figs with glossy dark purple skin with a reddish tint. The LSU Purple fruit is light amber to light strawberry-colored. Expect a heavy main crop in July followed by a later crop that often lasts into December.

Soil: Well-drained. Will not tolerate excessively wet soil, but needs ample moisture during fruiting.
