Tea Cup Elephant Ear - Colocasia esculenta
+ Free Shipping
At their largest size, the upturned leaves of the Tea Cup can collect up to an entire cup of water. When the stems can no longer hold the weight, they droop and spill the water out. The leaves then return to an upright position where they can begin collecting water again. The contrasting purple veins and unique, upturned leaves make the Tea Cup a great showpiece for your garden. If your plant doesn't look just like the picture, give it a little time to grow up. Elephant ears' attributes become even more defined when they mature.
- Average mature height: 4-6 feet
- Light: Part shade
- Soil: Prefers plenty of water. Does well in boggy areas.
- Zones: 7b-10
