The Maui Sunrise is a striking elephant ear that's ideal for container-growing because of its small, tidy size and spread. Royal Hawaiian hybrids are bred to be strong and sturdy plants that have magnificent attributes when mature. As the Maui Sunrise matures, white veins spread across the leaves like sun rays.

I've grown Blue Hawaii before for its large, lush and colorful leaves. This one was disappointing. I got one very tiny leaf, about an inch wide. No more leaves have emerged and the plant is now dying.
