+ Free Shipping
Each Wednesday we drop a new, rarer plant that we've grown out larger than our typical starter plant size. This week, we have 15 grafted Tropic Beauty Peach Trees.
This Tropic Beauty peach tree is an excellent choice for warmer climates. It requires only 150 to 250 chill hours, much less than other varieties. Along with producing delicious, medium-sized peaches, it also displays pink blooms in the spring.
Introduced in 1989 through a collaboration between the University of Florida and Texas A&M, the Tropic Beauty peach quickly became a favorite for its flavor and appearance. This non-patented cultivar produces medium-sized, semi-freestone peaches with sweet, yellow melting flesh. The fruit is striking, with a 70% red blush over a vibrant yellow base. Ideal for both growers and peach lovers, TropicBeauty offers a perfect combination of early harvest and exceptional quality. Low-chill fruit varieties, requiring fewer than 300 chill hours, are ideal for warmer climates in the southern states.
- Self-Pollinating: This tree is self-pollinating, meaning you don’t need another tree to produce fruit, although having multiple trees can increase yield.
- Ripening Season: The fruit ripens between mid-May and June, offering an early summer harvest.
- Cold Hardy: This tree can withstand temperatures as low as 20-25°F, making it resilient in the face of unexpected cold snaps.
- Grafted for Success: Our Tropic Beauty Peach Trees are grafted from high-quality fruit-producing trees, ensuring that you receive a tree that is vigorous and ready to produce fruit in just 2-3 years under the right conditions.
