Eve’s Necklace Tree is native to the southern United States and northern Mexico and is named for the bead-like seed pods it produces after its delicate pink or white spring flowers. This small, deciduous tree is valued for its ornamental appeal and ability to attract pollinators, making it a favorite in native plant gardens. Its name comes from the seed pods, which resemble a string of beads. Despite its beauty, the seeds are highly toxic if ingested.
