Lemon Eucalyptus - Eucalyptus citriodora (Corymbia citriodora)
Eucalyptus citriodora leaves are citronella-scented when crushed. The essential oil from this plant is an effective mosquito repellent frequently used in natural repellents. Eucalyptus citriodora is now called Corymbia citriodora.
Most Eucalytpus plants are fast-growing and love sun. They need little fertilizer and are drought tolerant.
- Average mature height: Tall, slender, broadleaf evergreen that can reach 40-80 feet but can also be container grown or pruned to bush size
- Light: Full sun
- Soil: Well-drained. Do not overwater.
- Zones: 9b-11
