Kiwi - Actinidia arguta - Issai (self-fertile)
The Issai is the most unique kiwi in many ways: It's the only self-fertile variety, so you only need one plant and you'll be on your way to snacking on the fresh, bite-sized fruit. Another unique aspect of the Issai is its smooth skin that's free of fuzz. Unlike other kiwi cultivars, the Issai is small enough (4-10 feet) that it can grow in limited space or even in a container.
Average mature height: 4-10 foot vine
Light: Full sun to partial shade
