The Wednesday Plant Drop | Limited Supply | First Come, First Served

Cashew Tree - Anacardium occidentale (1-gallon pot)
+ Free Shipping
Each Wednesday we drop a new, rarer plant that we've grown out larger than our typical starter plant size. This week, we have a limited supply of Cashew Tree - Anacardium occidentale in a 1-gallon pot.
The cashew tree is a tropical oddball that doesn’t just give us the tasty nut we snack on—it also grows a colorful, juicy fruit called the cashew apple! This sun-loving tree stretches out with a shady canopy and dangles its bright yellow or red fruits like nature’s own piñatas, each one topped with a kidney-shaped cashew "nut" (which is technically a seed).
But don’t bite into it raw—cashews come wrapped in a toxic shell that needs some serious roasting before they’re safe to eat. It's a quirky combo of fruit and nut from one of the most delightfully weird trees in the tropics!
