If you've never seen an old-fashioned, back-in-the-day, tractor seat, all you need to do is look at the shape of the Farfugium's leaves to know where its nickname stems from. Farfugiums are also known colloquially as Leopard Plants due to some varieties which are spotted, such as this one. In fact, ‘aureomaculata' is Latin for golden-spotted. The unique golden spots alone are impressive, but this plant also produces small, yellow blooms. Farfugiums love shade, so you can successfully grow it as a houseplant, too.
Elevate your landscape by growing several types of Tractor Seat Plants in a clump. Farfugium gigantea will give you impressive size, Crispata will give you texture, and Aureomaculata will give your landscape color.
