There are more than 60 species of Porterweed (Stachytarpheta), low-growing annual herbs that attract butterflies. Because of its prominent blue flowers, the Stachytarpheta cayennensis is our favorite variety. The flowers typically wilt after a day. Fertilize twice a year to encourage continual blooming and cut back occasionally to prompt new growth.
• Average mature height: 3 to 6 feet
• Light: Full to part sun
• Soil: Any. Keep moist during droughts.
• Zones: 9-11

We aim to ship your plants when they’re 3-8” tall, though we often ship them taller than that.
