The Sunrise (also known as Strawberry Papaya) produces baby papayas that only weigh around 1 pound but have the same great taste as other varieties with a little surprise hint of strawberry. The skin turns yellow when it ripens and the flesh is deep orange. The Sunrise is self-fertile.

Plant survived shipping fine and has been doing great so far.

They sent me a totally dead plant. All I had was a yellow leaf. I immediately took a photo and was told not to mail it. I was told there was a 30 day guarantee. They denied replacing it. I am a journalist with ABC News and will spread the word. They cheated me.

Looks healthy and happy despite the two leaves that were yellowing when I unpacked it. Just now slowly exposing it to direct sunlight. Excited to see a tiny new leaf coming out.
