I ordered 3 figs and this sherbet berry. All were packed securely and arrived on time. The figs are doing great and I’m very pleased with them. The sherbet berry arrived a little crunchy. They’re clearly grown in soil plugs and then added to the pots for shipping. For the figs this was fine, there was enough moisture in the soil that they didn’t dry out. Unfortunately, the sherbet berry’s little soil plug was about half the size of the figs’ and because it was just sitting on top of the soil in the little pot (might’ve been buried originally and come loose) it was a rock hard upon arrival. You can tell the seller tries to prevent this by adding an elastic around the pot’s bag to keep the soil in place. Since they had to travel in southern heat, it’s not surprising for live plants to be a little worse for the wear.
