The T.R. Hovey Dwarf Papaya (Carica papaya) is a self-fertile variety that produces fruit that weighs up to 3.5 pounds. You can count on 40-60 papaya fruits each year! The T.R. Hovey begins to flower around 2.5-3 feet or 8-10 weeks after planting, and the fruit ripens 6 to 8 weeks after it sets.
