I purchased a diamond head to give as a gift. The diamond head came with one completely yellow and dead leaf and one that was on its way to being completely yellow. I reached out to the vendor and I was told this is completely normal because this is what happens when shipping elephant ears. The vendor asked me to wait 3-4 weeks for new growth to come in. At the 3 week mark I contacted the vendor who declared the plant was still viable and that I needed to wait another 3 weeks or so. At this point I had already purchased another gift for my friend. I purchased a plant not a stick that may or may not put on growth in a month or two.
I contacted Etsy and I was issued a refund.
Two weeks later the remaining part of the plant shriveled up and died.
