The Coal Miner elephant ear is a clone of Colocasia antiquorum from India. Sporting all the good looks of an Illustris, the Coal Miner also has some additional features: It gets 10-15 inches taller than Illustris, emerges two months earlier, and grows glossy, velvety leaves.
• Height when mature: 4-6 feet
• Light: Full to part sun.
• Soil: Rich well drained, keep moist, do not let dry out between waterings.
• Zones: 7-11
