Super Variegated Vanilla Bean Orchid - Vanilla planifolia variegata
- In stock, ready to ship
- Inventory on the way
Super variegated vanilla is new to Wellspring Gardens for a limited time only. Snatch up one or two or three for yourself before our limited supply sells out. And don't forget Christmas gifts for your loved ones! This vanilla orchid has deeply-variegated leaves. It is the most widely-grown source for vanilla beans. It grows as a large vine and is much easier to grow than most orchids. You can have it climb a tree or twine it around a hanging basket. Since this vanilla bean orchid is tropical, it only does well in non-freezing areas, but it also makes an excellent houseplant.
• Average mature height: Up to 40-foot vine
• Light: Full shade
• Soil: Well-drained. Do not let dry out between waterings.
• Zone: 10-11
A baby plant, that is 3-8 inches tall, will arrive at your home in a 3-inch-deep pot. Then, raise your new baby to maturity under your caring, green thumb.
