Imagine the lush, dark contrast of a Black Cardinal Philodendron against your white walls, backsplash, or accent wall. This Philodendron is truly unique with coloration that defies nature's typical green. So if you're going for original, this is the houseplant for you. Please note that the leaves darken as they mature and are exposed to indirect light, so you'll see a variety of shades before reaching that intense, nearly black, color. Create a checkerboard look by pairing the Black Cardinal with the Yellow Ghost (which is actually white). Or add pops of color against the Black Cardinal's contrasting deep, rich background with the Prince of Orange or Pink Princess Philodendron.

Wellspring Gardens is the starter plant, AKA “baby plant” shop. We just get you started, so you get all the credit for raising your plants under your green thumb.
We aim to ship your plants when they’re 3-8” tall, though we often ship them taller than that.
The exact size of the plant we send you is variable on the time of year and how long we've been growing it out.
