Watch for the blooms in late spring and early fall. This cactus creates a strong focal point in your landscape with its columnar growth habit, impressive height potential, eye-catching blooms, and colorful fruit. The fruit, known as Peruvian Apple or Pitaya, is generally red but sometimes yellow and grows to about 2 inches in diameter. Keep this cactus happy with lots of sun and light watering in soil that allows it to dry out between waterings.

How tall are baby plants?

We aim to ship your plants when they’re 3-8” tall, though we often ship them taller than that.

What determines whether I get a 3-, 6-, or even 18-inch-tall plant?

The exact size of the plant we send you is variable on the time of year and how long we've been growing it out.

While we call it Mulberry Fuel after our favorite fruiting tree, this fertilizer can really be used on any fruiting plant to ensure its plans come to fruition.
