Painter's Cherilata is a rare, tropical fruit hybrid developed by John Painter of Pine Island, Florida. This unique hybrid crosses the ‘Spain’ cherimoya (Annona cherimola) with the red-fleshed ‘Tikal’ custard apple (Annona reticulata). Also known as the Berry Cheesecake plant, Its creamy, sweet flesh offers delicious berry-like undertones. Painter's Cherilata is a premium, grafted tree that came after numerous tests of seed crossing until Painter found the perfect one that performs well, grows vigorously, and tastes exceptional. Painter offers you the opportunity to grow a distinctive hybrid developed right here in the Sunshine State.

How tall are baby plants?
We aim to ship your plants when they’re 3-8” tall, though we often ship them taller than that.
What determines whether I get a 3-, 6-, or even 18-inch-tall plant?
The exact size of the plant we send you is variable on the time of year and how long we've been growing it out.
