It's more cold hardy than a Black Mulberry tree, so you can grow it almost anywhere, including frigid places like Illinois without having to dig it up for the season. It is self-fertile and fruits in the summertime. Illinois mulberry is everbearing, meaning it will continue producing berries all summer long! If the sweet fruit doesn't win you over, the little yellow blooms will. This is a tough, easy-to-grow variety that is a popular choice when it comes to making pies, jellies, and other confectionary delights. If those reasons aren't enough, Illinois Everbearing trees can live up to 125 years. Plant a mulberry; leave a legacy!

• Fertilizer: Unnecessary, but mulberries may benefit from a once a year application of 10-10-10.
