I have never seen a cardinal flower plant that wasn't in bloom so I was surprised by the color of the foliage. It is still far too early for it to bloom so I cannot comment on that, but the plant arrived very well packaged and protected from any potential shipping and handling damage. They plant itself is sizable and very healthy and I look forward to watching it reach its potential end bring in more hummingbirds
