Planting Guide | Seeds
General instructions (any seed)
-
Tiny seeds: Surface-sow or lightly press tiny seeds into the soil with a depth of about 1/4 inch or less.
-
Large seeds: Push larger seeds deeper into the soil typically 1 to 2 inches deep or at a depth roughly two to four times the diameter of the seed itself.
- Use a sterile, light, and lump-free seed-starting mix
- Keep the soil consistently moist (like a damp sponge) but never soggy during the germination phase.
Moringa seeds
- Soak in warm water for up to 24 hours. Use a well-draining soil mix.
- Plant seeds 1/2 inch to 1 inch deep. If possible, plant in a 1 gallon pot or larger so that the taproot can develop.
- Keep soil temperatures between 75°F and 90°F. Sprouts typically emerge within 7 to 14 days.
