The Scarlet Fever ginger, or Curcuma, has striking lipstick-red stems and midribs. Along with other Curcuma varieties, the Scarlet Fever is known as a hidden ginger; it blooms right as the leaves grow, and then the foliage quickly overtakes the flowers and hides them from view.
