We have 69 in stock.

This is a rare opportunity to receive a set of five different highly sought after Sarracenias for one low price. These are large, healthy, well-rooted plants that can fill out a nice sized pot immediately. Your plants will be shipped in a fiber band sleeve pot known as an ellepot. This makes it easy to plant them into your own pots while minimizing root system disturbance. The picture with the brick background illustrates typical sized plants that we are now shipping. They have been planted into 5 inch plus tall pots to illustrate their robust size.

These plants love lots of light (about 6 hours a day of mostly sun) and plenty of water. They grow very well in a bog or with their pots sitting in a dish of water. They are rather intolerant of drought.

We are shipping now (unless it’s really cold where you are or somewhere between you and us.) You will receive one of each of the following clearly labeled plants. (Sorry, we can’t substitute, but you can buy more sets as long as they are available. Limited number for Spring 2022 only, and once they are gone, well, you know the rest.)

Sarracenia purpurea venosa

This pitcher plant has the broadest geographic range of any pitcher plant. It grows to about 6 - 8 inches in height. Leaves can be a deep maroon or green with varying degrees of a rosy to purple blush.

Sarracenia Barba Green

Originally known as Barbapapa. It is a vigorous but compact grower.

Sarracenia Velvet

The plant feels soft (like velvet) to the touch because of the many fine hairs on the pitcher. It also features red brown-colored veining if grown in full sun.

Sarracenia Farnhamii

Hybrid of Sarracenia leucophylla and Sarracenia rubra. Nice red veining and white background on the hoods and upper portions of the pitcher.

Sarracenia Maroon

Very full and compact growing. Pitchers are more colorful than almost any other Sarracenia. Expose it to bright light to develop its deep red color.
