    Wisteria frutescens. 'Amethyst Falls'

Information below is only the potential the plant has. You will be receiving a plant between 3 and 8 inches in height shipped in a 3 inch deep pot.

Large fragrant, lavender inflorescences hang down from new growth in the spring through mid-summer. Bears medium green foliage from April through October. Can be trained against a wall, fence, or up a tree. Zones 7 - 10. Grow in a fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun for best flowering performance. The Wisteria frutescens. can be found growing in the wild in Tennessee and other places around the U.S.

BONUS INFORMATION: This variety is native to the USA. Although our starter plants are small, they grow fast and are NOT SEEDLINGS, but divisions. Therefore, they can bloom within a year or two. After the first year of growth you don't need to give them nitrogen. Excess nitrogen will discourage blooming. The first number in the fertilizer is Nitrogen. A "bloom" or "blossom"  fertilizer will have a lower first number and a very high middle number (Phosphorus). Use this type after the first year and it will encourage blooming.
